Belbin

Tools to lift confidence in team contribution and business performance

We Understand Teams

Belbin is a research-based methodology that is used worldwide in 33 countries, helping individuals and teams improve business performance. More than just a theory, Belbin helps people to discover, articulate and refine their behavioural strengths at work.

As the Belbin Distributor for New Zealand and the Pacific Islands, teamhub is responsible for supporting and accrediting facilitators and building the Belbin community in Aotearoa and the South Pacific region.

Whether developing people, resolving conflict or fine-tuning high performance, we can help provide you and your team the language to ensure that individuals and teams communicate and work together with greater understanding.

Introducing the Nine Belbin Team Roles

Research by Dr Meredith Belbin showed that the most successful teams were made up of a diverse mix of behaviours.

They discovered  nine clusters of behaviour – these were called ‘Team Roles’. Each team needs access to each of the nine Team Role behaviours to become a high performing team.

Diagnostic Reports

If you’re looking to use Belbin Team Roles then we can help you produce a range of Belbin Reports for individuals and teams. The Reports offer personalised advice and guidance to increase personal effectiveness and engagement, enhance team performance and improve working relationships.

There are five types of Reports:

Individual Reports

The Belbin Individual Report analyses someone’s contributions in terms of the nine Belbin Team Roles. It offers advice and guidance on how they might work best, announce their preferences to others and cultivate latent talents.

To get the most out of your Belbin investment, we recommend using an Accredited Belbin Facilitator to feedback the profiles. This can be done individually in-person or by phone or in a Team Workshop setting.

Over 3 million Belbin Reports have been generated worldwide for individuals, managers, teams and organisations. Get in touch to start your Belbin journey, or purchase your own Belbin Individual Report directly.

Coaching and Workshops

You may be looking to gain clarity around what the team needs to achieve to be effective. Or work in agile or cross functional teams that  need a skills / behavioural efficiency tool to get to know how each other works. We look at the issues that are specific to your organisation, and the people within it.  Then, using the Belbin theory, we build a bespoke workshop specifically designed to address the issues that you are facing.

Partnering with teamhub, you’ll have access to a network of 200 Belbin facilitators that ensures everyone participates and maximises their contribution. We facilitate sessions with teams at all levels, from boards of directors to new recruits.
